Notre Dame Australia - Library FAQs

What is an Index or Bibliographic Database?

An index or bibliographic database provides citation details and abstracts only of the journal, report or newspaper articles listed in the database.

A citation is the reference details of an article, e.g., Title, Author, Journal Title, Publisher, Date of Publication.

An abstract is a summary of what the article is about.

These databases help you locate articles but do not provide them. You will need to check the Library's eJournals collection or the Library Catalogue to see if the journal is held electronically or in print,
